Lighting and Stage Crew

Talented stagehands and light operators (lighting, follow spot and props) are needed for a wide variety of exciting productions. Daytime and nighttime shifts available.

The day crew is responsible for crewing the Pets Rule!, Sea Lion and Otter and Cirque de la Mer shows. These shows require team members to work closely with trainers and trained animals. Prior, during and after the show, the crew is responsible for placement and removal of show props and scenic elements. This requires lifting and moving items that weigh up to 50 lbs. or more. You will be assigned to do cleaning at the various show areas, which may include vacuuming, hosing the area's stage, scrubbing, etc. You may assist with full run-throughs of shows and mic checks. Applicants must be comfortable working in show area under all weather conditions.

The night crew is responsible for crewing and operating theatrical lighting for the Main Gate, Sea Lions Tonite, Ignight and Shamu Rocks shows. Additionally, they will perform boat patrol and SeaWorld vehicle operations. Responsibilities may include assisting with the set up of spotlights, which requires lifting up to 50 lbs. alone or 100 lbs. with assistance, operating show follow spots, climbing ladders, communicating via head set, working in a team environment, wearing and working in a fall protection harness, as well as working on roof tops. You must be able to swim, if you are selected for boat patrol, and a have valid CA drivers license for many aspects of this position. You will be assigned to do cleaning at various show areas, which may include vacuuming, hosing the area's stage, scrubbing, etc. This position occurs during the late afternoon and evening. Applicants must be comfortable working in dark/nighttime conditions and this show area operates under all weather conditions.

The pay rate is $10.78.
